The Pin: Time for Tuesday Goodmama

the process that makes it superwash strips all the natural lanolin from the wool, and superwash doesn't hold lanolin as well. it should work well enough for light, daytime use, but i wouldn't use it for anything more. i also don't prefer dk for longies. it's REALLY light weight, so it would take a lot more yardage, and would make a very thin fabric. maybe i'll try it for shorties or skirties this summer, since it's SO much hotter here than we are use to, but it's definitely not my prefered weight for diaper covers.

	ugh... this day is going by sooooo very slowly! thank goodness it's finally nearing bedtime. i hope tryne goes down as easily as she did last night! and mos, too... hopefully he won't want to stay up too late.

	dk is fairly lightweight. you'd probably want to double it to use for longies. superwash works ok for daytime use, but not so hot for overnight or heavy wetters. the stuff they use to make it washable hinders the effectiveness a little bit.

	i unpacked my big rat cage today and got the girlies set up in it. they are loving the room to run around and climb the walls! it's looking pretty barren at the moment, though, so i am perusing ebay looking for hammocks and bedding.

	Thanks! There's some Hippy Pippy on Spots that I had half-heartedly stalked when it was first sold, but both colorways are the superwash dk. I'm so glad I asked you guys first!
